Airtran gave me too much credit!?!

I was so bummed!! I check my flights today that I recently booked and it went down from $93 each way to $88. With a total of five tickets that comes out to a $50 savings...right? Well I called to get my credit and she said she applied a $110 credit to my A+ rewards account? Um...okay....sounds good to me!

Check to make sure they didn't wipe out your seat assignments and gave you your seat fees back. Airtran has done that to me before.

Go to the airtran site and look up your reservation using the confirmation code that should be in an email. If your seats are selected it will show up on the screen - I'm thinking right hand side but I'm not positive.

It will also tell you in the history of payment for the tickets when you look at the bottom of the reservation. Airtran may have charged a fee for calling to change the tickets and offset that with eliminating the $ you already paid for seat assignments. It ends up being a mess so I would definitely check it.

darn it....they did refund my seats...I called and got it all fixed...now have the $50 credit...still better than nothing!

Wow! I'm glad I saw this, I called a few weeks ago to get a refund on airfare since the price dropped and while the refund amount wasn't wrong they did drop my seat assignments. I'm just glad I saw this post and was able to call and straighten it out NOW instead of seeing this the night before when I printed our boarding passes out and there were no seats together thinking we had them and I had paid for them...LESSON LEARNED.

At least they gave them back to us...PHEW! I love DIS...they saved my behind!

When I check my Airtran reservations, I always check my seat assignments, too. Since this happened to me once where my seats disappeared after getting a refund, I always pay attention to make sure it doesn't accidently happen again.
