Airtran flight booked via SW price went down

Can I call and get a credit? Were talking $25 per person!

Yes, AirTran is now part of SW. Call them, their policy is to give credit when the price goes down. It is good for one year. However, I believe only the person named on each ticket can use their own credit. The credit total for the entire family cannot be used in the future for one person's ticket. That has been my experience anyway!

If you don't wanna call, you can do it online. Just go to SWA's site and "CHANGE" your flight. (you're actually gonna select the same exact flight when it comes time to pick a flight.)
When you Checkout, it'll show that you have a credit. Make a printout and SAVE that info! Your Confirm # will hafta be used in the future to book another flight (1-year from ORIGINAL purchase date.)

Here is my next question. I paid for seats on the flights I am changing (Airtran). Will I lose that $40 and have to pay again? That basically eats up the $75 they are going to give me for a credit.....

AT & SWA are fully integrated now.

If you cancel the AT flights you should receive SWA $ credit for the full amount. You then would rebook the flights at the current rate.

the amount of the credit should carry the expiry date of the original booking.

you mention multiple tickets. Did you verify that the correct number of seats are available on the SWA flight at the $25 less rate you are seeing?
