I found a flight that might work for us on Airtran but when I clicked on the fare, I got a whole list of "airport passenger facility fee of up to $18, $10 Sept 11 charge and Segment taxes of $3 each way as well as baggage and seat fees"
I was aware of the fee to pick your seat, but none of the others. Are these standard for all airlines? I am trying to keep our flight below $1600 for the 4 of us and all the fees may put us over the top.
We are going to fly jet blue back.

Baggage and seating fees vary from airline to airline but everyone has to pay taxes and facility fees. I am not sure if they vary depending on your home airport but they would all be about the same regardless.

You didn't say when you are flying either, but if your trip is before Dec. 18 remember that there are Airtran coupons available :goodvibes

We used this code to purchase seats on airtran even after purchasing the flight through expedia. In fact, we saved even more, because we purchased an unknown flight at a bigger discount. Expedia tells you what time you're flying and then we figured out which airline it was beforehand.

Thank you everyone! We are flying in march, so the coupon won't apply, but I appreciate all the info
