Quick question. We have chosen seats and paid our $5. So if we wish to change them, will it cost us another $5?

I changed ours last year and they didn't charge me to do it. I don't know if things have changed or not. I'm sure if you called AirTran they could tell you for sure.

I tried that and spent about 15 min on hold so gave up and posted here instead!

I made my changes in June. After that they started charging $7.50 for seats, but later changed it back to $5. I don't know if other changes were made at that time or not. If you want to call them back try 1-888-327-5878 instead of their regular 800 number and see if you can get through faster.

I just booked with them again yesterday (I had a bunch of vouchers) and I paid the $ 5 book the seat. Anyways, the rep told me I could change it one more time free of charge if I wished.
