Airtran comes through again!

I was doing my normal check of my Airtran reservations and saw that my flight to MCO in December had changed by 7 minutes to 7:38 am from 7:45 am. I called Airtran and changed to a 1:29 pm flight two days earlier. No problem at all. I LOVE Airtran. Even better, I called DVC and was able to add two nights to our reservation! I was sure that they woud be sold out by now but we were really lucky all around today.

I checked a few weeks back and fares had dropped, so I got more than enough credit to cover my seat assignments and checked bag fees. A few days later, I got an email that our times were changing. Only about 15 minutes on the way down, but on the way back they added lots of time to our layover. I saw that they had also added a later morning flight. (That was considerably more expensive) I called up and they happily moved us to the later flight. It's my first experience with Airtran, but, so far--so good!!

ETA: I decided to look and see what the rates were today, and now our flight down has changed from a 3:49p arrival to a 6:11p arrival. And it's the first flight of the day. Bummer! I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that they'll change it back or add an earlier flight. We're meeting a bunch of family there and I've done a lot of people's travel arrangements...now they'll all be there way before us. No fair! LOL

Nope, we switched from the 7th to the 5th. Airtran was flexible enough to let me back up two days.

My flight is only a month away when it changed today so you still have a chance! I don't know that it will change that much though. Usually by this time they are tweaking by minutes, not hours.

Yeah, when it changed before it was just a few minutes. I guess I'll just have to send the rest of the family to fetch the rental car(s) and maybe do any grocery shopping, so we can just grab our luggage and go once we get there. Getting in after 6 isn't awful, I'm just jealous of my brother who will get there at noon!
