Have been checking periodically for changes like everyone else. Our flight is Aug. 24. I don't want to think about the possibility they could still make a change.

Want some opinions from more seasoned air travelers. Should I relax or still stay vigilant? Thanks.

Flint, MI to Orlando non-stop both ways.

With so much uncertainty in the industry, I would say to still keep checking. I honestly think anything can happen.

We are flying them President's Week and so far we've had 3 changes. So I'll definitely keep checking.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Generally, they're not going to change schedules within three weeks of the flight date. Except, of course, on the day of the flight. . .

I keep checking daily. You never know what they wil do?? We fly out on 9/7 and last week they cancelled some flights and changed some times.
Hopefully they are done :thumbsup2

So far they have stopped serving the airport I was flying out of, and canceled and changed my flight times 3 time! I gave a supervisor a piece of my mind-which did little except to relieve some stress, but I will never fly Airtran again that's for sure. I don't know what to tell you, except that you're not alone in your uncertainty. :confused3

I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!:sad2:

Are you serious?? I am not an experienced flyer and we are flying Airtran end of September. Is there really a possibility that they would change our flight time the DAY of the flight??? :scared:

I've had airlines cancel a flight after I had already arrived at the airport, so I guess it's possible.

Same day changes are not (usually) schedule changes but changes due to weather, staffing or equipment issues.

my flight out of Philly is 2 weeks from tomrrow. so far no changes except for 1 when they added a late evening non stop flight which made the other stuff leave a little earlier. but we are happy with the changes (leave earlier and get home later).

i check every other day and looks like i am okay. fingers crossed. :)

They just changed my December IAD-Orlando flights, so I moved them to BWI.

If they change the BWI ones I am cancelling them.

Schedule changes or cancellations on the day of a flight are usually due to either weather or equipment issues and are always possible.

You're always wise to keep on eye on your reservations regardless of which airline you fly. But having flown AirTran out of Flint for a number of years, I've not noticed a whole lot of schedule changing out of there. I'd say at this point you're pretty safe, but keep checking.

Any airline is able to change so no matter who I am flying on these days I check my flights quite often.

Perhaps not "relieved" but perhaps rather "transferred" the stress to the supervisor?

At that point it is a different kind of change, but yes, it is possible.

Just flew Airtran from Akron-Canton in Ohio to MCO on 7/31, connecting flight in Atlanta -- no problems, on time, everything was great. Both flights were overbooked and they were looking for volunteers to take a later flight and accept a voucher for a free roundtrip ticket. Not us -- we wanted to just GET THERE!

Flight home on Airtran was non-stop from MCO to Akron-Canton - I was hoping IT was overbooked because I was in NO HURRY to get home -- but alas, there were a few (not many) empty seats.

All our flights were on time, everything went well, etc!:thumbsup2

I will be flying AT to MCO in less than three (3) weeks. So far so good, but you have to keep checking. I check everyday, and you can't count on them calling or emailing. More often than not, they don't notify you. It is going to get worse, so prepare yourself.:upsidedow

How do you find out if your flight has changed for the return trip without internet access? I would hate to take ME to the airport 3hrs early if something has changed and we don't know. Someone mentioned text alerts to the cell phone, but I can't seem to find any info on that at the airtran website. :)

I would just call them and check on the status of your flight. If it's the day of your flight it wouldn't be a schedule change. It would be a weather or mechanical delay. In that event, I think you still have to take ME at your appointed time. Someone please correct me on this if it's wrong.

Checked mine Sunday night, for October, and found my return flight changed. They had already changed my down flight a month ago. Called first thing Monday morning and I'm back on a non-stop. :thumbsup2
