I got an email this morning from the Walt Disney Travel Company that our flight home is now leaving about 45 minutes sooner than originally scheduled. I wonder how many more flight changes we'll have before we leave on March 21?

Since Disney is telling me about the change, am I right in supposing that it won't affect our ME to and from the airport?

We got an email notification for our December flight on AirTran too that it had changed. The only change that had happened is that we now had only 1 hr for layover instead of 1 hr 5 minutes. Seemed weird to get notification for that small of a change.

Our flight next weekend has changed by about 20 minutes but still no notification letting me know!!

We just flew Air-Tran to Disney last week. Our flight times changed about 4 times before we left. We actually had to change days to fly out (I know, so sad we had to spend an extra day at Disney:flower3:) so that we could meet our Backyard BBQ reservations. They kept pushing the flight time back. All in all though, it was a good airline to use. (Cheaper flights and baggage cost less)

This is typical of Air Tran -- at least out of my home airport. They have always made constant flight time changes for us to Orlando and to Atlanta. If travel time is of the utmost importance to me then I stay clear of booking them. I do like Air Tran and have been pleased with my in flight experience with them but I only book them if travel time isn't a do or die situation.

So true. They are notorious for time changes.

Yes, you are good to go.

They will watch the flight number and adjust your ME time as needed. It happened to us last year and we got an extra hour in the parks!

I book my own flight, and my flight number changed, so I called ME to make sure they had it, so they can track it for my departure time.

You should be notified of any change, no matter how small. Airtran once moved my flight a few minutes. They still let me cancel it without penalty. (Not that the few minutes mattered - I wanted to change dates without paying the change fee)

We flew US Air last month and my flight times and flight number changed 3 times from when I booked it....so I don't think Airtran is alone!

We flew with Air Tran in 2008, bought our tickets months before and the DET-MCO flight changed 3 times.

More often than you think, schedule changes are a result of the airport & air traffic control than the airline.

The individual airline's place in the pecking order at each airport will determine who gets moved first. Then there's the domino effect...

Not saying the airlines don't hold a fair share of the responsibility sometimes but :confused3 just something to take into consideration.

AirTran changed our return flight to have a 3 hour lay over instead of an hour and a half lay over. I called them to ask if there was anything I could do about this because I didn't really want to be stuck in an airport for so long. They were SO helpful and changed me to a totally different flight home, which was much better than the one I had. For my return date, the only flight I could originally get out of Orlando that was under $175.00 (one way) left at 8 am, which is way earlier than I wanted to leave, and had a lay over. Now, I have a non-stop flight at 1:30 pm. I was so happy! They said that since they changed the reservation, I had the right to change flight to any they had for FREE. I got a $300 (one way) flight for a great price. Now we can go to AK for EMH and make it to the airport before our flight.:banana::banana:

Bought my Tickets in late July for our Feb trip.....so far flight times have changed 3 times.

Nothing drastic just return pushed back an hour and trip down up 30 minutes. I have heard great things about AirTran letting you change flights without a hassle if needs be.
