So other than clicking the "accept" button and adhering to their changes, do I have any other options???

I hate the new time. It gives me a 5 hour later start than I was planning. I only get to see my brother 2-3 times a year and yes that afternoon meant alot to me. UGH!!!

That stinks! Spirit has done this to me but usually earlier. My last flight was moved up from 8:05am to 6am, that's tough when you're traveling with a kid. You might be able to change it for a fee, I'm sure you don't want to do that but maybe there are other flights. It might be worth the extra $ since you don't have a lot of time with your brother. Good luck! shelly

You can choose not to accept the schedule change, get a refund, and book with another airline.

Are there any other flights that day that will get you there earlier? If so, they will move you without a fee. If not, look for other airlines and ask for a refund from AirTran if you find something better.

That's one bad thing about AirTran, they do make big schedule changes frequently.

Could I just ask how far off is your flight....in other words, how much notice did they give you for the time change?

I'm actually hoping Airtran does change our flights so I can get a refund. Our flights are 6 weeks away still.

My flight is Thanksgiving weekend.

I called them and they said it's just the way it is...conform to the change or we can send you a refund. UGH!!!!!

I don't want to fly down a day early because it's black Friday and I shop, plus it's pointless since my brother doesn't arrive til the next morning.

This SUCKS!!! It's not magical at all!!!

We have always had luck changing to a different Airtran flight with no additional fees if they change our flight times. They have always been very accomodating even if it only changed by a 1/2 hour or so. Once they even let us change which airport we were leaving out of and the day we were flying with no additional cost since they had changed our original flight time. So, if there is another flight time that will now work better for you, just call them and they should be able to help you out.

From some cities, AirTran only flys 1 flight a day to Orlando. She said she called them and nothing better. Her profile shows Kentucky, I checked Lexington and there is only 1 flight on Nov 26, it's at 4:58pm. Which really makes me wonder if they intentionally put a flight on the schedule with a more favorable time and then change it closer to the date after people bought tickets and are stuck.

I will no longer fly AirTran out of MSP for this very reason. I would book the one non-stop leaving in the morning or early afternoon, only to have them change it to evening a few weeks before the scheduled departure. I also wondered about their intentions, but don't think there is anything I can do about it except vote with my $$. And that is what I have done.

I hope the merger with SWA cleans up their act in this particular area.
