Airtran changed my flight-can I cancel?

As I feared, Airtran changed my flights both ways (and hasn't notified me yet). At least they are still nonstop flights. The biggest problem is the return flight....We'll have to really push it off the cruise back to the airport. Will they allow me to cancel without penalty?

Yes. Call their customer service number, explain that the new times won't work for you and ask them to cancel for a full refund.

We use them a lot. They are notorious for changes...and they may not have notified you yet bcuz they are not DONE changing it. If they change it by more than 15 min. in either direction they are supposed to email you....sometimes they change them in like 5-12 min. increments so they don't notify you EACH time...but over the course of time the 12 min. + 11 min. + 10 min. etc. add up. They did the same thing to us last summer....I called them and since THEY made the change they will change you to another flight w/o penalty or fees...if you paid for seat assignments make sure you get those re-applied too as it's not automatic. ALSO, you can have them put a note on your ressie that you are coming off of a cruise and don't want a flight before 11:30 or 12:00 or whatever you specify. That's what I had them do for us. We orig. booked a 1:30ish flight & they changed it to like 11:00 so I ended up having them change us to a 3:00 one instead. Just call them and ask for another flight. But be aware that they change their schedules a lot - esp. until they get down to about 30-45 days out.
