We are going to WDW in Feb and we just looked at our ressie for our flight (was suppose to be leaving WI at 7:15 am) now is NOT leaving until 1:30pm. Huge Disappointment, does anyone have any suggestions? Should we go with the one stop in GA that would get us there around 11am (the time we were suppose to get in) althought we would have to leave the house around 3am. Or should we leave our ressie Non-stop at 1:30pm and waste a big half of our Disney Day? And has anyone had trouble with AirTran like this?:confused3 Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

We flew out of Indy Mon. after thanksgiving we had np , the flight even left the airport 15 min.s early. sorry about your prob. we always fly non stop i hate to change planes with kids . hope u have a good vacation

Thanks for the info. I think we been secretly blessed, because the airline changed our flight we can change our flight for free (other wise we would had to pay 200 in change fees) we are going to flying in on Friday and stay with the inlaws for that night. Then head for WDW around 10 am. The kids will not be tired and we will have the whole day at WDW! (Since the inlaws live 1 hour away). I think it worked out for the best!

My DH and I flew Airtran last May, had issues both ways. They changed our flight on departure to early morning from evening . I changed our ressie to a flight with a stop in Atlanta and then onto Pittsburgh again as an evening flight. Our morning flight was delayed about 4 hours-our plane had something wrong with it for the flight down and they brought in a plane from NJ for us to have. Shorted us half a day,but we had a great vacation in Disney anyway! :goodvibes

I am sorry to hear that I am hoping that we are learning from your situation. That's why even we are doing the Friday thing, even if we get delayed we should still get some sleep and get to the parks early enough to enjoy. Quick story about last Feb we were suppose to leave Chicago at 645am and didn't leave until 1045am really cut our day almost in half. So anything to avoid that again would be an improvement!

AT is notorious for flight changes, I've had them change one over 8 hours & @ least 6 or 7 times.

If you paid cash/cc you can request a refund or pick different flight.

If you used a voucher you can rebook in the general time frame, although I've fussed & have been able to rebook months later as long as voucher time limits were the same.

FYI, they have changed flight times less than a week ahead of time, keep checking.

check out the transportation thread for some interesting stories.

Our package was set up through AAA. About 10 days before our departure date, I called to double-check and make sure we could print out our own boarding passes, and weren't waiting for anything in the mail. They confirmed that we had e-tickets and therefore wouldn't get paper tickets in the mail, but she also discovered that AirTran had mistakenly put us on the noon flight home rather than 6:30 pm!!! All of our paperwork said 6:30. If I hadn't called, and the TA hadn't double-checked the times, we would have been up a creek when we showed up at the gate at 6:30. As it was, she was able to get us on the correct flight and since it was AirTran's mess-up there was no charge.

I'm from WI but I'm flying out of Midway in Chicago in 17 days with AirTran, nonstop flight. I will have to check every day now just to make sure everything is still fine. We flew last January out of Milwaukee with AirTran and they gave us a free upgrade to 1st class for my family of 4. GREAT SERVICE! We even got into Orlando 20 minutes early. I chose AirTran due to the $59 one way non-stop flight from Chicago. I could NOT pass that up. Thanks for the warning. I will check my flights daily.
