Airtran and Southwest Release Dates

It seems the best way to get the best prices through either of these is to buy them as soon as they are released. Does anyone know when they release their schedules so that I can stalk the sites and buy them as soon as they are released? We are flying out November 16th and returning the 23rd! Thanks!

The best fares aren't necessarily available on the release date. Sales always come up at any time after the release date, and are usually cheaper. It just pays to be vigilant.

Absolutely correct on the March 4 date for the next releases barring any last-minute changes.

May is a possibility for the release date after that although it could be June. In 2010 and 2012 dates past early November opened on June 15 and June 4, respectively. In 2011 those dates opened on May 24.

I just want to be able to keep up with it so that I can make sure I check out prices when the y are released. And, I know this is a little OCD but do the releases typically happen in the morning time or right at midnight?

They will post the next release date on their Travel Tools page after the release on March 4.

The schedules are most commonly released in the 5-5:30 a.m. CT range. That hasn't always been the case and there have been variances, however, so there is no guarantee.
