AirTran and Luggage Charge

From what I understand the only time AirTran charges for luggage is when you check it, if you use a carry-one it is free right?
 
Yes, carry-on's are free! :)
Just remember to keep it within the size requirements. You also get one "personal item" for free (ie. purse, laptop bag, coat, etc.).
 
yep, and they usually ask at the gate for people to check their carry-ons, free of charge, to expedite boarding faster.
 
good to know so her little carry on suitcase on wheels would be considered a carry on then maybe? depending on how much it weighs I imagine.

Yes, a small rolling suitcase would be considered the carry-on item. Just double check the size of it with the size limits for the airline. You can also take a personal item, I usually take my carry on suitcase & a large purse with my ipod, book, stuff I might want access to during the flight.
