airtours and monarch

Has anyone been with airtous /monarch ,are they any good?

Hi we have been with airtours twice, first time we had four hour delay on way out and 24 hr delay on way back, during the delay they were dreadgful, took us to hotel miles from anywhere, no communication, dreadful! it might not make any sense but we went with them again!!! and had no delays, we went from cardiff both times so we were prepared to take the risk against the convenience as we only live 40 mins away from the airport.
there were no seat back tvs in economy and quite cramped.
we are going with TCD next year from gatwick but this is purely on price as we had a fab deal which makes the travel worth while.

L ast Aug we went from Man to sanford with Monarch. We had an 11 hour delay that was a nightmare.

We wont fly with them again, this year we are using MyTravel

You will hear good and bad reports on both airlines. I have flown with Monarch and they were great - on time and friendly staff . I have never flown with Airtours but I hear they are pretty good too. Personally I would go with which one was cheapest!

We have flown with both from Glasgow. Both times they were fantastic, no delays, friendly staff. If the price was right, we would use them again.

You must remember any airline can end up with long delays, so many things can influence this but i can see why you wouldnt want to re-live such bad memories by flying with them again.

I have a friend who is a stewardess for Monarch who warned me off flying their long haul product for no other reason that there was better value out there.
