Airpot arrival time?

For domestic flights, CO is saying arrive 3 hrs ahead of time. Are any of you flying in the next couple days planning to arrive that early? Would it be pushing it to arrive 2 hrs early? I just don't want to arrive so early and not "really" have to.

The lines I've been seeing on the news have been HORRIFICALLY long. I would much rather be at the airport super early, clear security, and just chill, or walk around the gate area, than be stressed out, waiting in line, hoping not to miss my flight.

I would allow extra time. The last thing I want to do is be stressed at the airport trying to get to my plane. MCO had long delays before this, I am sure it is worse now.

our flight doesn't leave until 10:45pm tonight. we are leaving from las vegas. we were advised by the agents at the check-in booth to be at the airport around 7pm!!! almost 4 hours before! they said security has been taking up to 2 hours to get through since yesterday... i would call or just plan on at least 3 hours

we fly out of Newark tomorrow at 3:22 pm. We live 3 hrs from the airport, so we plan on leaving at 8:30 am, arriving at Avistar around 11:30. Not sure how much time it will take from Avistar to the terminal, so we figure get there around the 4 hr prior to flight mark and hang at the terminal grab some lunch etc...and await our flight.

I'd rather be early than late or rushing through the airport....

On the news today (Chicago) they were reporting that lines are incredibly long, and interviewing some that got there EIGHT hours AHEAD of schedule!! So part of the lines are people arriving extremely early, the lines for the 6am flights started at 3AM and they reported LONG lines at 3AM!!

Thanks guys!! Well, you scared me into it-arriving early. Better safe than sorry.
