Airports at Red Alert? [Poll on foxnews.com]

This poll is posted at www.foxnews.com but I cannot find any other information on this? Are the airports REALLY at Red Alert or is this a hypothetical question?

The airports have just been put on 'red alert.' What best describes your opinion?

**This seems wise -- it is a holiday weekend and we are at risk.

**Airports are actually safer during 'red alert' so I feel safe flying.

I found the article and the person said 'red alert' as we are being more cautious, the level has not be raised.

Marion Blakely siad in a interview (referring to the 7 people that the FBI posted the pictures of) "certainly we will be red alert looking for them' (or something close to that.) She did use the term "red alert" but it is not an official alert. I feel she was just using it to stress how important the FAA feels it is.

I agree -
We could possibly be at more risk for the holiday. I would also feel safer flying during red alert - flew 9/11/03 and felt comfortable. I do not think our government is over- reacting. They probably know more than they are saying, but don't want a panic. Better safe than sorry!

Our son will be flying this week-end as he will be on leave for the holiday. I feel relieved knowing there will be extra security, plus I know his guardian will be with him all the way!!!
