Airport Xray and digital cameras

Does the xray machine affect your memory card in your digital camera ??
Can you send it through?

I believe this was answered recently.

There is no effect at all. A memory card is kinda like a hard drive except it doesnt spin and people send laptops thru the x-ray machine all day with no effect either.

Ok Thanks.. I am taking disposible cameras for my DS and was told I should put them together in a ziploc and hand them to a screener.. It got me thinking about if I should put my memory card in it to...

If the disposable camera uses a film speed of 400 or less, it can go through the xray machine for carry-on luggage. You don't want to place it in your checked bags but your carry-on is fine. I have taken lots of film through the carry-on x-ray machine without a problem. Also, just to reinforce what bg4 said, I have also sent my digital cameras through the xray machine without a problem.
