Any suggestions on transportation to take from airport? Mears was HORRIBLE last time we used it and I was wondering if there were any alternatives to an Uber. Thanks!!!

Oh, no! What happened?

From my experience in late May as a solo traveler, waiting to depart MCO for the resorts was a lot longer than I had expected, especially with how few people boarded. They didn’t give us any indication of when we’d depart once we got on the bus. But considering the price versus a rideshare, I thought it was acceptable. I adjusted my expectations and padded the travel time for a trip in August.

It’s easy to see how things could be worse for more than one person and how much the cost goes up for a family of four versus a rideshare and not being worth the extra hassle of boarding a bus or having to site and wait to depart.

We have had so many bad experiences with Mears, we finally just budget for GearFusion because I don’t want to do rideshare. We usually stay at BLT, SSR or BCV/BWV and I’m tired waiting for an hour to get a bus and then being the 5th resort to be dropped off. I really miss DME and the max 3 resorts they used to guarantee.

I do Tiffany town-car or cast and crew , Tiffany is my new preferred since they take your CC and you can pay and tip before you go. I like not having to pay the driver when I arrive in front of family as they always want to chip in.

For a cheaper option you can schedule an uber ahead of time.

I don't do busses after I had one take over an hour with all the stops.

I just Uber/Lyft, so I can’t help, but is it cost that people don’t like? It doesn’t seem to be that bad, but maybe different if you have 5 or more plus luggage, etc?

My sister and I just had this discussion yesterday.
We weighed our options and ultimately still decided on Mears. We've had a bad and a good experience so far.
The bad experience was a light night arrival and a middle of the night return.
The good was an early morning arrival and very early morning return. (We are taking those exact same flight times this trip).
So we are hoping its a good experience again.

We were considering a rideshare but she has been in on very few times with mixed experiences with the drivers and her motion sickness levels and I never have and we just feel more comfortable on the bus especially if we feel like taking a little nap lol.

How much are you willing to spend? If you're willing to spend the $100+ then a private driver would probably be best. Below that is a cab, but you have to go down to level 1 and usually spend more than on a ride share. Rideshare picks you up on level 2 and can be relatively inexpensive, depending on surge pricing. Then Mears is the cheapest option, but you know the pitfalls there.
