I usually find its least expensive to rent a car and I like having the convenience of a car.

Mears Shuttle (shared ride) will run about $35/pp r/t for adults and about $25/pp for kids.

Towncar Service will run about $130 r/t for 4 passengers or less

Taxi will run about $100 r/t for 4 passengers or less.

I can't see how it's less expensive to rent a car. I just made a car reservation for 6 days for July and the cheapest full size I could find was $244. Compacts were around $200. More convenient yes, less expensive I don't see how.

I also think Swan and Dolphin may have some charge for parking (or maybe that's included in the resort fee?). When I've stayed at the Swan/Dolphin in the past, I've done the Mears shuttle. I guess it does depend on how many people you have, but a taxi to that area runs around $60 each way.

You can see the mears prices online - I think their website is Mearstransportation.com. Kids under 3 are free, kids 4 - 11 are $26 round trip, and adults are around $33 round trip. There's a way to get a $3 off coupon too - don't remember how I got this but worth looking into.

There's also towncar type transport. That would run more than a taxi, but be more comfotable. I've nevery paid for this, so don't know what it would cost.

if you want cheap, and you're packing light. You can use the lynx bus. Route 111 goes from the airport to disney. It's 2$ per adult, and 2 kids can ride free with each adult.
Now once you get to the TTC, you'll have to take the monorail around to MK to get on the disney bus from there. Or catch a taxi which shouldn't be more than 15-20.
I've taken the 111 bus to the airport and it's not a bad ride at all. I take the bus now every day and usually see a couple people with luggage going to or from the airport.

The drivers are usually nice (not disney nice, but courtious) and tell you what you need to know to get where you wanna go.

The Lynx (Orlando Regional Public Transit) bus has a semi-express Route 111 which goes between the Airport and Downtown Disney and to the TTC. You can take that for $2.00 and then transfer to a Disney bus to the Swolphin.

Swan/Dolphin parking charge is not included in the resort fee.

The charge is $9 per day for resort guests, $10 for non-guests.
