We are bringing my 16 year old daughter's friend with us to Disney...will we need anything special for her to go through airport security????

No, not for airport security.

Some folks like to bring a notarized letter for emergency hospital care, and/or her insurance card, etc that kind of thing, in case there's a medical emergency at some point on your trip, but she doesn't need anything special just to fly. (Most people don't even bother with the medical stuff.)

Thanks..I didn't think so, but we don't want any surprises so I just wanted to make sure...and will def be bringing the medical emergency info:thumbsup2

I travel with my grand daughter some and always have both of her parents give me a notarized statement that I can travel with her to whever we are going and the dates we'll be gone and that I have the authority to obtain any medical care that she may need. My son then gives me her insurance card. Her parents are divorced so I always get a notarized note from both of her parents. I've never needed to show anything to fly with her though. In fact, we've never even been questioned.

Yep, back in the day we often had tag along friends of the kids with us. Always had the notarized letter, never needed it, but always had it.
