We will be going on a cruise in January, and this will be our first time flying there. Anyway, we are trying to look at airfare and decide on what days/times we will travel. There is a flight the day we disembark at 9:20. I can't remember what time we have got off the ship in the past, but is this enough time to make it there and catch a flight? I am thinking not, but it's looking like we don't have a lot of options at this point!

Thanks

Are you asking about Port Canaveral to Orlando airport? That's waaaaaaay too early for a flight. DCL recommends flights after 11:30.

The ship typically starts debarkation around 7:30 am, but it's at least an hour to the airport from there. You have to allow for drive time, and rental car return (if you rent a car). Plus security at MCO can be brutal (up to 2 hours) on occasion (not rarely).

Okay thanks, that's what I was kind of thinking. I also have 3 kids to slow me down!

If wind up having to wait at the airport for a while, the Hyatt at the airport has day rooms available, and it's a great place to "hide out" for the day. Taking naps (remember you're going to be gettin up real early that morning), using the hotel pool, generally easing back into "real life" before getting on the plane

I second the Hyatt suggestion. We used a Day room this summer because our flight wasn't until 5:00 p.m. and it was the perfect way to wind down from our vacation!

At various times Disney has said nothing before Noon or 12:30. We barely made a 12:35 pm flight. Nothing to do with Disney, they had us at the airport by 10:15 am (we used Disney transportation), had everything to do with security check delays at MCO.
