We are a family of 5 and would like to stay at the airport in Orlando the night before our cruise. I looked at the Hyatt, but it's $400 for 1 night......I just don't think I can bring myself to pay that to sleep! We are landing at 5pm and are hoping to get the first bus to the port the next morning. Our children will be 3-8 in age range, so looking for something convenient that won't cost a ton of money. Thanks in advance!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at the Homewood Suites last week. It was great. One bedroom had a king and the other had two queens. Only $150 for the night. Free shuttle to and from the airport and they dropped us off right by the transfer desk in the morning.

For food, there are several restaurants within a block (Carraba's, Bonefish, IHOP, Longhorn Steakhouse, a shushi place...) The hot breakfast was great too.

It shows a bit of wear on the soft furnishings, but it was very clean and comfortable. I'd happily stay there again.

There is a Residence Inn, and I believe they offer free shuttle to/from Airport. We had a one bedroom, it was nice. 2 queen beds, and a pull out bed. Free breakfast, free evening snacks on weeknights.

The Hyatt Place would be a good option for you. A room with two double beds accommodates up to 6 because there is also a pull out couch. They have breakfast included and the breakfast is better than some free breakfasts I have had.

Also curious to see what other people think! So many choices that it is hard to narrow it down and so much anxiety that I'm not going to make the "right" choice! Our flight gets in at 5pm. Trying to decide to stay at an Airport hotel or make the trek to Cocoa Beach before bed.

Honestly, between TripAdvisor and sites like Trivago you get a very good idea of what to expect near the airport! Hardly a "wrong" choice here unless you want to drive west to the really cheap places.

Click here for the Trivago list sorted by ratings with prices listed. It comes down to your budget - do you want to spend less than $100 per night? Then the airport hotels are worth a look since you arrive late anyway. Generally speaking you will pay more than $100 a night near the Port unless you go Motel 6, etc.

You don;t say when you are cruising. If its in the summer, it might be nice to go to Cocoa Beach as you could still enjoy the beach and the sun will be up later. But, then you will need transport to Cocoa Beach and then to the port. Most of the hotels by the airport offer a free airport shuttle and it would be easy to go back the next morning to get the Disney bus.

We have stayed at the Homewood Suites and at the Hampton Inn Suites. Both are pretty good places that offer free shuttle buses and breakfast in the morning. There is also an IHOP in the same lot right next to the two hotels.

We've stayed at the MCO Airport SpringHill Suites (Marriott) 2-3 times. We've always really liked it for pre-cruise stays. They have a decent free breakfast in the morning and a pool if you want to swim in the evening after you arrive. We were also able to walk to a few restaurants. You have to take a shuttle (free) back and forth to the airport. We've done the shuttle in the morning to the DCL buses or we have found you can have a private car/van pick you up right at the hotel and it would probably be much cheaper than the DCL buses. We have used Spaceport Transport many times and they will even schedule a grocery stop for incidentals (sunscreen, snacks, etc) or beverages. Their fleet is mostly mini-vans and they have always provided car seats when needed.

Did you call the MCO Hyatt directly? We are a family of five and we got connecting rooms with a great discount on the second room that was way less than $400.00.
