Airport hotel? anyone....anyone?

My wife and I are flying into MCO late on 12/3 for a 12/4 cruise. We would like to take the Disney Cruise Line busses, so we are thinking of staying overnight in the airport hotel. Has anyone here stayed there?? Is there only one hotel there?? What kind of prices do they charge and does anyone recommend it or NOT recommend it?

The Hyatt is in the airport and it is not cheap. However it is very nice and I would stay there again. You might watch Hotwire over on www.betterbidding.com and see if it comes up. I got it for about $36 last December!

There are also several other hotels in the area that use a shuttle that are nice (Marriott, Crowne Plaza, Hampton Inn etc..)

On Dec. 13 I have an early flight so I'm staying at the CP the night before. Paid $50 for it on Priceline and it has shuttles to the airport.

If you're not particular as to which airport hotel you want, try bidding on a 3* on Priceline. Just make sure it has a shuttle - I think most if not all 3* have airport shuttles.

Mariott is nice hotel and has a shuttle. We got it on PL for around $28 plus fees a couple years ago.

No free brreakfast, tho.

Thanks for the help guys!! I did go to priceline and got a 3* for $50 at the Wingate Inn. Looks like a great place and has a free shuttle.

Thanks for the info WDW DENNIS...the Wingate is a 3* that we have not seen come up in the MCO area before....good info to have for future reference!!
