Help. In the spirit of adventure we are trying Airport Bus this Dec. In the past we have rented cars and gone on Super Shuttle from like every airport down there (which ever had the cheapest rates to fly into)
Is this Airport Bus any good/bad? Its cheaper than Super Shuttle and snce the shuttle make various stops anyways we are giving it a go but its not too late to change our minds.....Help

Grand Californian here we come. Dec 13-17

we have used AB 3-4 times, and they are OK. What is hard is when they pull into their home office on Harbor, and you know you are 3 blocks from your hotel, but there is a wait while they collect money, and divy people up to the smaller vans.

There are +s and -s to Super Shuttle and Airport Bus. I used SS twice before I tried AB.
Actually, I think it took longer for me to get to my hotel using SS. Once, we had to stop to drop someone off at a local residence, that kinda freaked me out, it was nighttime and I was alone with 2-3 strangers.
However, SS doesn't run on a schedule, they're always around. I think Airport Bus only runs like every hour or something so you have to be sure to time it right.
I did prefer sitting in a bus seat compared to squishing into a van with 6 other people. And, AB is a tad bit cheaper. I was looking forward to watching a movie on the way to Disney, but that didn't happen. Not that I minded that much, I didn't have small kids with me. I have read that if you ask, they'll show a movie.
Of course, this is all just my experience. I don't think you can really go wrong either way.

we have always had a movie, but of course it is just a chunk since there aren't a lot of 40 minute movies.

Is this the bus that goes from John Wayne (Orange CO.) Airport. I'm thinking of taking it when I go to Disneyland in a few weeks. Do I understand correctly that they do not drop off at the Disneyland properties? Has anyone done this? How much does it cost? How do you work the return trip back to the Airport at the end of your stay?
Thanks.

I love the Airport Bus! I love the Airport Bus! I love the Airport Bus!

OK I know that I said it a lot on this site, but I travel a LOT (used to be 200 nights/year) and have been on every type of transport. Done DL about 40 times.

Last week my flight was late, I got off the plane at 855pm, and at 9pm was at the curb, figuring that if I missed the bus I would take SuperShuttle. 30 seconds later the bus pulled up, the driver apologized if I had been waiting long! I was the only passenger, so the stop at the hub was not a big deal. But if you are really really really anxious you could always pay $5 to take a cab from the hub. Even when I stayed as far away as the Towneplace Suites (by the duck pond) it only took another 10 minutes.

Fare is $25 round trip, discounts for 3-11 years, under 3 free. Movies on demand. Never takes as long as they say, even on the return (this time took 35 minutes back to airport)

Supershuttle can be scary when you end up touring the different cities around LA going to ppl's homes. I have done this and am fed up with it - had I done that this trip, I would have probably been in the same situation as not many tourists were going to Disney at 9pm on a weekday. My suggestion?

If you have enough ppl in your party to be the majority on a Supershuttle (ie 6 ppl) go for it. If not, you will probably take a scenic tour.
