Hi all! Well our trip day is almost here (leaving on a 6:55 AM flight tomorrow morning)! I think I have everything ready to go and we are very psyched up!

This is our first time flying as a family and I am incredibly nervous so I apologize if this is a really dumb question, but can we store a carry-on bag under our seat? or do they all go in an overhead compartment? I'm just wondering what I'll have easy access to so I know which bags to pack things in for the kids.

Thanks!

If it will fit you can put a carryon on bag under the seat in front of you. I would do something like a backpack that is a little smaller though so you still have plenty of feet room.

You can keep a small bag(ex..backpack size) under the seat. As long as it can be pushed under the seat in front of you its fine.
We normally take our big carry on and put it overhead and bring our backpack for snacks and coloring books and things we will need during the flight.
Anyway have a GREAT TIME!! Im jealous, i still have a month left before our trip!!!

Just make sure when you get seats assigned that you don't get the front row of the plane (or the first row behind first class). You actually store your carry-on stuff under the seat of the person in front of you - so these front seats have no under-seat storage.

I agree with the other posters, but if you have anyone with long legs, they probably won't want anything under the seat in front of them. We try to limit what we keep out to only what will fit under the feet of our little ones. I might keep my purse and a tiny bag out, but I get really uncomfortable with a backpack at my feet for the entire flight. I am 5'9" and have short legs, if that helps.

Thanks so much! I have a back pack diaper bag and a mickey tote bag that has the snacks, water cups and things to do. Sounds like they'll fit under the seats and our large carry-on can go up top.

Off to finish packing! :cheer2:
