I did not check to see if it is for Gold Members only (I am Gold status), but anyone wanting to redeem miles for Disney World tickets, should do so now.

Run...........ok, you have time until July 31st

SUMMER PROMOTION ! 2 More Days FREE offer. Get a 5 day Walt Disney World Resort Magic Your Way Base Ticket for the price of 3. 1975 for Adult ticket.

THANK YOU!!

Ticket ordered! I had 1982 miles so just enough. I was planning on buying a child ticket for our Dec trip but now I was able to get an adult. Hurts a bit to see my airmiles balance at 7 though...

Your welcome, glad to help! We are going to the World on the 4th and this time we are planning on spending more time in the resorts, so we are just going to buy the tickets as we see fit. However, I might end up redeeming when I'm back and saving the tickets next year:cool1:

We actually got an email today about this deal, except, the email we got said "tickets are valid for Theme Park admission from 5/1/10 through 9/30/10. These Tickets expire 13 days after the first day of use or 10/13/10, whichever occurs first, and each day of use constitutes one full day of use."

Now, I noticed the website does NOT mention these tickets expire, so you might want to confirm with Airmiles before redeeming for those tickets if you aren't planning on using them till AFTER Sept. 30/10!

ETA: Information corrected on post #7.

I got the same email. I deleted it when I noticed the expiry date as we're not going before September 30th.

If you look closely at the email, there is an asterisk beside the DisneyLAND tickets. It looks like Disney World tickets are okay.

Editing to add that the airmiles website does show the restricted dates on the Disneyland tickets and not on the Disney World tickets.

OMG Nancy! Thank you for catching that! I always read the fine print, and didn't even notice the asterisk was only on the Disneyland portion and not Disney World. :sad2: Now I can order them for our trip next spring! Thanks again! :worship:

I need to get 600 Airmiles over the next 4 weeks so that I can take advantage of this deal. I am hoping to get 200 AM today at Safeway and hopefully, next weeks Safeway flyer will have some awesome AM deals on stuff that I need.:goodvibes

Thanks for posting this. We did GAD, but I was going to order my 5 yr old's ticket from AM. :cool1:

These can be upgraded right? I can add more days to it once I get to Disney? Has anyone had any problems doing this before?

No problems at all. I upgraded my son's AM ticket in April to a 10 day NE, PH with WP&M - I just had to pay the difference in price $348.

How do you know what dollar value they place on your 5 day ticket when you go to upgrade it? Trying to figure out how much it would be to upgrade these adult 5 day tix to 10 with PH & WP & M

I heard you need to use the first day then upgrade. This way they will give you the current price no matter what the dollar value of the AM tickcet.

My son did use his ticket before I upgraded it. I upgraded as we were leaving the park for our afternoon break. I had a 7 day AM ticket - when you look at the Disney website - a 7 child day ticket is worth $214 (a 5 day is worth $203) and with getting 3 extra days added, PH, WP&M plus the No Expiration added - I paid $348. A child 10 day NE, PH, WP&M ticket is worth $557. The difference between the 7 day AM ticket and 10 day all inclusive ticket is $343 so I paid $5 more but I think that was due to taxes.

If you go and look at the Disney website with their ticket prices - you will probably pay approx $130 ($54 for PH, $54 for WP&M plus 5 extra days at about $4 per day) to upgrade unless you add the No Expiration than you will be looking at approx $350. I hope this helps!

O.k.....now I'm REALLY confused.....I had emailed Airmiles specifically about the Disney World tickets (not Disneyland), assuming they also expired in Sept/10 so then I got this response:

"Yes, the e-mail you received is correct. If you chose the 5 for 3 Day Base Ticket, it expires September 30, 2010.

But, if you choose the 5 Day-All Inclusive Ticket, it will never expire."

This actually doesn't make any sense to me....since the "all inclusive" ticket doesn't appear to be part of the promotion and is not even an option for the Disneyland tickets, so according to this guy, the WDW tickets will indeed expire in Sept! Am I reading that correctly? :confused3

So use it to get into the park & then go to guest services and do the upgrade there?

O.k.....just emailed Airmiles again and this was there response:

"For the Disneyland, CA Promotion, you always get 2 more days free, no matter how many days are selected for this Reward.

So, if you redeem for a 5 Day Base Ticket, it does expire on September 30, 2010.

Only the 5 Day-All Inclusive Ticket for Disney World, FL has no expiry date. This one costs more AIR MILES® reward miles too.

I hope this helps and I apologize for any confusion caused. Put simply, Disneyland, CA and Disney World, FL offer two very different Promotions."

NOW I'm thoroughly confused!

ETA: After sending several emails back and forth, it appears they thought I meant that Disney tickets in general never expire, which was not the question I was asking. He did say specifically that the Disneyland ticket would expire in Sept/10 but made no mention the Disney World one would. Geesh, that's all I was asking in the first place! Grrrrrr......

So use it to get into the park & then go to guest services and do the upgrade there?

We used it to get into MK - did a morning full of rides then as we left the park at noon - we stopped by one of the ticket booths and upgraded the ticket then. It took about 5 minutes.
