When was the last time anyone saw the deal on WDW tickets through Airmiles? I don't recall seeing it at all in the last year or more. I need to order tickets very soon and have been holding out hoping for that little reduction of miles.

My FP+ day is Jan 10 so I can't wait much longer to order.

What type of deals have they had in the past? I'm determined to collect as many airmiles/aeroplan as possible to exchange for park tickets.

We get our Disney tickets through Airmiles as well and I haven't seen a 'deal' in years. In fact, last year I believe they raised the amount of AM's needed by several hundred points. :furious:

If I can recall the last time they had a deal out, it was around late summer, so I can't see them offering anything this late in the year.

If anything the # of Airmiles needed for ANYTHING have gone up in the past year! Only bonus we got was 300 BACK for ordering something in September!! Now my kids really think I'm as they put it "Owned by Airmiles " ... why?? Because we will deliberately change our shopping patterns to increase the # we can get ... you know shop at Rexal instead of Shoppers one week to snag those extra 100 when they offer them :rotfl2:

I might also be 'owned' by AM. I deliberately shop in places that offer miles or buy extra groceries when there is a bonus. I've been doing that for about the last 6-7 years. I guess I do alright....I'm an Onyx member.

I'm a member of the owned by air miles club as well. I will gave up my Amex and get a MC so that I can put daycare and shopping at Costco on my new card. If I'm spending I might as well earn! Hoping to get one more pass before October. Shopping the toysrus bonus this weekend, 100 air miles if you spend $100 and put it on your Amex.

:rotfl2: I've got both the Amex and MC. I got the MC with only one purpose....my DD's university tuition. Her school doesn't take Amex. I figured the $99/year was a far price for the 500+ miles a year that I earn from the tuition. As it turns out her younger sister changed dance programs and the new studio doesn't take Amex either so there's another 500 miles/year.

Plus there is a gift card deal that includes toys r us this weekend. Buy a $50 gift card get 25 bonus miles ( your aloud to do a few cards but think it has to be separate purchases...can't remember). I would buy the cards first then shop to get the 100 bonus points on $100 and pay with the gift cards ;). 150 bonus miles, just like that ;)

I wish there was a place to keep track of all the current airmiles deals so we can take advantage of them ;)

we do it all as well to get airmiles... mc and amex, Only gas at shell, shop deals at metro. We are 40 airmiles away from disney tickets for the three of us :)
We have been watching them for years and got a deal once years ago but have never seen a deal since....

Where is that gift card deal? Can't find it and I'd love to take advantage of it today.

Sounds like it is only gift cards for those merchants and you have to purchase it at their own store? I was hoping for restaurants gift cards. Metro has those bonus deals every now and then.

Yes, this one is only for those stores. But Rexal and Toys R Us also have bonus points running this weekend. So it sweetens the pot if you were heading there anyways :).
I'll have to keep an eye out for the Metro one. I only started getting serious with collecting miles about 6 months ago. I've had the card since it was released but didn't put any effort into it until I realized I could get Disney tickets LOL

A lot of the deals/offers for AM depend on where you live. When I was in Ontario, it took me a year to get 1000. We recently moved to BC and I can easily get that many a month! For example, this weekend: spend $50 at Rexall, get 100 AM, spend $150 at Safeway, get 200, spend $20 on produce get 50, etc.

This is to all my fellow members of the "I have the Airmiles Logo tattooed on my butt club" I hope all of you who shop at Metro are signed up for their newsletter that sends you "targeted coupons" every Friday. You will get a selection of about 10 items that have bonus miles attached to them. They are based on your previous purchases For example today we snagged 7 on popcorn, 3 on Oreo's, 3 on bread, 5 on pickles & 5 on A a KitKat bar. And the sweet card i got that i can get swiped for a bonus 25 miles every time i shop at Metro this month is adding up in a hurry. According to hubby, we earned 73 today without trying! Nothing like letting "big-brother" peek into my wallet :rotfl2:

Now, off i go to sling-shot my way through the Airmiles website to the Sears site to finish up my Christmas shopping while i can still get double Airmiles AND take advantage of the Cyber Week sale! Dang, i love a good bargain :cool1:

Question for all you air miles pros...anyone take part in the Back to School coupon promotion where you use a certain number of coupons and get 100 or 200 bonus for using a certain number?

If so, have you gotten that bonus yet?

I'm still waiting for my 200 points.

I forgot about that one....I think that I qualified for the 100.

Generally, those promos take up to 120 days to process. I find they make their way into my account sooner than that but if you don't have the miles by the 120 day mark you can email them. There is a link on the website for 'missing miles'. I've had to use it a few times and when I have I ended up with more miles than I thought I was getting. I can always prove my purchases too....when there is a good promo I keep my receipts and label them.

Yep, the hubs wants to kill me right now. I made him spend only $27 at Metro yesterday and I'll go back today for the rest of his shopping....he cooks his own lunch for 2 weeks at a time. With coupons and the 25 bonus card he got 47 miles yesterday and today I should get 35 more.

I noticed my "back-to school" bonus points showed up last week :thumbsup2

now i'm working on the ones i get for using my Mastercard a certain # of times in December -- really wish i knew what that # is since we get more Airmiles when we use our AMEX :rotfl2:
