1st time family going to WDW April 08!!! :cool1: . Me, DW, DS (9), DD (6)
Booked all 4 flights yesterday on Westjet Airmiles.
Flying from TO on Sat. April 26 to Sun. May 4th - 8 nights.

I still enough Airmiles for 2 Adult - 7 day MYW (No Park Hopper, No Water Park)
My question is... Does anyone know if I get the two Adult MYW tickets from airmiles, can I upgrade them later (pay) to Water Park and how do I do it?
It's over $420 savings if a take the airmiles tickets but we really want the Water park option?

Last May I upgraded my airmiles 7 day base to 7 day hopper/non-expiring at guest services. It took just a few minutes, and there was no problem. You can add any options you'd like for a fee.

We did the same. No problem.
You get more for your miles if you buy base tickets. It may also be an option to buy child base tickets and upgrade to adult ph. Check with Disney before you decide. Stretch your miles and your $ as much as possible!
Does airmiles still have the 7 day pass for the cost of a 5 day pass? I cashed some miles in for that deal not too long ago!

I'm fairly certain that promo is over. I was on the AM site yesterday and didn't see it. It was right on the home page before.

I also have used my AM to get base passes and upgraded them later at WDW. I got the 5 day base passes (1 adult and 1 child)and added the no expire option and added a 6th day. The upgrades cost me about $125. I can't remember exactly but I know that's close. I added the no exp. at DTD and then added the 6th day at AK. I did price adding the water park option and hopping so I know you can add it all.

Last September I also used my Airmiles to get our passes for Walt Disney World. Upon arrival I paid the difference and upgraded them to 10 day passes.

I am doing the same thing this September, i already have my passes from Airmiles and this time I am going to upgrade them to Annual Passes so that we can do another trip next year and not have to pay for more passes.

I have enough airmiles for two - 7 day magic your way hoppers with water parks and no expiration. Disney told me it would be about $65 to upgrade to annual pass! We are in Disney for 20 days at Christmas and then back again for Halloween 2008!

This is a kind of related question - how long from when you order passes through airmiles does it take to have them delivered? I'm planning on ordering Citypasses for our trip to New York and I'm waiting (impatiently!) for the last few airmiles (4!) to be put in my account before I order them.

They told me it would be 2 weeks and I had the passes in less than a week. I was going to pay the express post fee to get them faster than the 2 weeks because I was travelling exactly 2 weeks after I ordered them. When I explained my situation the AM agent told me that I should not bother with the express post fee because I would have them in that 2 week time period. I think she processed the order right away so that I would get them on time.

As to the 4 miles that you need, if you are under a time crunch just buy the miles. It only costs $0.30 per mile plus tax.

Cool - I should be fine, as I have about a month. I know my additional miles are out there in the ether, they just haven't been posted yet.

Generally speaking they don't have to post the airmiles for up to 90 days. However, the miles usually appear on the account in about 10 - 14 days.

If it were me I would give it a week at most to see if they appear. If not I wouldn't take the chance. Just buy the miles.

In my case I planned a last minute trip (14 days before departure) and was really nevous about the passes arriving on time. I was only staying at WDW for 5 days so there wasn't even time to have the package overnighted to me if it arrived after I left.
