Airmiles Armchair Chatter

From my blanket fort, mug of hot chocolate beside me that seems to be too heavy to even lift because I've expended today's allotment of energy : I would be watching TV but I'm stuck in decision paralysis between the 3 streaming services we have, I think I've wasted close to an hour and have yet to actually WATCH something :P
:rotfl2:same

Far too often I spend a ton of time scrolling through my viewing options and then either watch something I’ve seen before or nothing at all. Third option…something is selected but I’m not watching because I’m scrolling a million things on my phone.

I am toying with replacing my 5-year old iPad. Anyone here have the new iPad 11" (regular, not pro or air)? The system sounds a lot better than my current one (32GB).

Also thinking of just using Dream miles as they have 10% off the miles, but I almost hate spending my miles on anything but travel LOL
I bought my iPad on black Friday from am shops - staples. Still haven’t seen any base or bonus miles. I was trying to purchase with dream miles online to receive bonus miles back but I kept getting a security message not allowing me to do it. Asked CS why and they said because I hadn’t ordered anything for awhile. It’s a built in security thing. Of course I couldn’t reach airmiles on phone before promo ended but got it for less at staples than what it would have been using miles, and still should get a good amount of points. Whenever they arrive! lol
I am just getting used to the new one. It’s nice as it has more storage which I needed.

Another Flash offer ....

100 Bonus Miles
Spend $120+ on food and beverage purchases, including groceries, wholesale items, and liquor from liquor retail stores using your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard. December 19-21 ONLY.*
Start December 19, 2025

just coming to share that flash offer, I'm THRILLED because I was just getting ready to go to Costco at some point this week. I can wait until Friday and easily make that threshold since the cheese i buy is $$$ and I usually buy at least 5 blocks. You need to OPT-IN before shopping for this to work. It can be at any grocery store, wholesale club or liquor retailers and it is cumulative which will help those of us who are flyer hopping to stretch the dollar as far as possible. We went to a total of 8 stores on the weekend to finish up StB and get groceries AND I still need to go to zehrs.

Banana Muffins
Looking for easy to make Banana Muffins.
No nuts due to diverticulitis.

Tired of Tim's charging me almost $5 for a medium coffee & muffin everyday.
And their muffins are not even very good.

Thanks
Hugs Mel

I should have booked flights for my Feb trip sooner, now I'm left with having to make a decision. I can get a nice flight there, direct and arrives around lunch time. But coming home I can either take a non-direct flight home leaving at 11 AM but having to deal with customs in Toronto and then flying to Ottawa, or the really late flight home, leaving Orlando at almost 9 PM. I'd need something to do that last day, we've never done a park the day we fly home. I'm nervous to leave my things at bell services and pick them up in time to get to the airport. But being able to fly direct and deal with customs in Ottawa seems nicer than going through Toronto. Though if I do that, when I do finally land in Ottawa I'd be able to just head straight home, no need to wait on bags or customs (planning a carryon only). This will teach me to delay booking the flights.

Go with the later flight direct. We've left our things with Bell services many times. Never had a issue. I put our electronics in the suitcase for the time is at Bell services. And lock the bag. We've gone to the park our last day, picked up our bags and then ubered to the airport.

I do recommend using mears connect its $16 each way. You can't do an uber for that. They also have an express service which is a little more.

Keep checking Porter. I've found they look like they are sold out one day and then magically there are seats available the next week.
