I can see the AARP being more difficult to manage as I assume it's an annual memebership and like you I am now booking a year or more out for future cruises. Just booked Fort Lauderdale to Santiago Chile through the Panama Canal for Nov '26. We're going to apply for the OBC in the new year for next years cruises ($400US nothing to sneeze at). So glad I found out about this perk.

I applied for my OBC on my two cruises next year (March and October) last weekend. I got the initial approval email yesterday, and the final redemption tonight. Both are longer cruises so will be a nice add on for us.

On the past two cruises, I had the Shore Excursions desk go in and apply the OBC to my prepaid excursions, refunding my initial outlay. That was a great use of the non-refundable OBC!

I'm not getting many surveys this weekend so the 5x won't be getting me too many extra AM, but every little bit is good. I did go to shoppers and pop was on sale so I got 3 receipt AM for that, eggs were on sale too so less than the $4 needed to get AM. Oh well. We don't use that many eggs. I picked up the toothpaste and tooth brushes for our stockings, the rest of the stuff I'll get in a couple weeks on black friday I think. I'm debating whether I want a tablet or not. I use my phone for everything, so I'm wondering if having a tablet might help save the battery and help the phone last an extra year. I should use my kindle to read but the phone is so handy. I'll see if there is a good deal on black friday I guess.

So the cash is 114 AM back, which is 30% of $40 (95x4). I think i have enough for $30 in my cash fund so might try that.

I’m so annoyed I just redeemed $30 cash miles… it wasn’t in my app yet. Has anyone successfully cancelled a cash miles redemption? With the 2 day delay these days… I don’t see why we can’t.

Called customer service and they said I should see cancellation within 5-7 business days - at least the promo goes Nov 21-28!

Of course this would show up this week. I redeemed last week for a $100 Disney e-voucher. Oh well there are lots of other places I can use a redemption on.

I find that when in doubt I do an Amazon e-voucher. It goes on the account immediately, and Lord knows I have an Amazon order regularly right now.

Walmart is always my go to - but lately I’ve been redeeming for Nintendo! I’m not sure if anyone else on here is into video
games but I have been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley on our Nintendo Switch for the past year now and absolutely love it. There is a new DLC for it coming out this week so I need the gift card $$$!

Of course I just redeemed for two ipads .... over 9000 aimiles. I could have gotten 1500 ams back.

I am within the 24 hour period but the ipads are on a pretty big discount right now... 4650 ams for an ipad that would cost me $499 in store before tax. Regular ams is 5400. So if I cancel, that sale might be gone by the time the weekend comes around for the redemption bonus.

I will probably just leave it.

The little grandsons need ipads to play Sneaky Sasquatch, lol. I really didn't want to fork out the money for ipads but since I don't have a disney trip planned for a bit, I thought it was a good use of my miles.

There is a limit on the max # of AM you can earn. In the case of Cash miles it is 114AM. Not sure what the limit is for Dream miles.
