Merry Christmas eve!!!
Well...I survived work and even got home a little early. I might go in on Boxing day and then take Friday off...IDK. No matter what, all the things that absolutely had to happen yesterday and today are DONE!
On the subject of wrapping Santa gifts, I've got a cute story. I think this was the year that my oldest was about to turn three....her birthday is January. She was OBSESSED with Barney and wanted a Barney blanket. She asked Santa for the blanket and a kitchen set. She wanted a very specific kitchen, I think it was Fisher Price, the kind that kids stand at to play. We could not find this kitchen anywhere and were so concerned that she was going to be disappointed. Someone suggested calling stores on the US side of the boarder. We finally found one left at some store but they said the box was damaged and they had no idea if everything was inside. We drove over to get it on the 23rd after work and in a storm. Then on the 24th after DD went to bed we got the thing out and opened the box. Everything was there but now we couldn't figure out what to do with this huge thing. I had this giant roll of Barney wrapping paper so we wrapped it but then I had to rewrap all her other gifts because the mom and dad gifts were done it that paper. After that task was completed we went and lifted her out of her bed and moved her to our room. We then went in and put up Barney wallpaper, Barney draperies and changed all the bedding to Barney. Moved her back to her bed and we passed out at around 2am. I don't remember what time she woke up but we were woken up to a screaming child.....I got a Barney bed, come look!!!
