Airmiles Armchair Chatter

Just wanted to check in. We arrived Friday - when the forecast was only calling for rain. Well we know how that is turning out :scared:.

We have had 4 go hard park days. The weather besides being cloudy and a few drizzly times, it's been great. We have adjsted and taken things day by day. Today was extremely humid which seemed to sucked all my energy.

We are now hunkered down in the hotel. We found some water, and non-perishables iin-caseof food shortages at the hotel here.

The hotel has been pretty quiet, but we came back from parks around 8:30 and the parking lot was full. It looks like many of the hotels are now full of evacuees from the coastal- which we
Is what we want to see. The news down here has explained VERY WELL, what will happen and what to expect in the area. We are crossing fingers that we don't loose power! And see how much flooding happens.

Hopefully, I'll be able to check in again soon ::yes::

We will have great tales to tell after this!

Oh my goodness, I am so glad to hear you were able to get in quite a few good, solid park days before the storm! Please take care and let us know as soon as you can that you are all ok. My cousin was at WDW during Irma in 2017. She had gone with her inlaws. The Inlaws decided to rent a car and try to drive home ahead of the storm and my cousin stayed. She said the two days after the storm were some of the best she had ever experienced at WDW because the crowds were really low, the weather was amazing and being forced to stay in her room for the rainiest part let her rest her feet!
Hang in there, you got this and you are right, what a story you will have to tell.

Has anyone else turned some heat on?
I try not to but oh my gosh I was frozen when I woke up this morning.

Stay cozy everyone.

I turned the furnace on 2 days ago to do that fall start up burn the dust off thing. It doesn't come on very often but I just need it to take the chill off the place first thing in the morning. Definitely time to start layering up. It is mid-October afterall.

I have a question about card-linked offers and the 20x deal. For example, Simon's offer is spend $150 get 60 ams, does that mean that you would get 1200 with this deal (actually 500 since that is the limit)?

Anyone ever been to the Character Warehouse? Is it Disney owned? wondering if we can use gift cards there.

I just checked the T&C and it just says this:

All of the other T&C say 20x on base miles earned.

Hi Hon
I am confused on this one because all of the linked offers have only Bonus Miles beside them.
The lowest one is Dollarama at 1 Airmiles but it even says Bonus beside it.
But the 20X is suppose to include Card linked Offers?
I'd volunteer to call Airmiles but I spent 2 1/2 hours on hold tonight with RBC Ins.
Maybe someone else is up to the challenge.?
