One thing I wondered about is could someone do the Dollarama offer twice ,,,(on the same card) I know they would only end up with the max of 500 Airmiles but if it's buying Gift Cards maybe worth it?

Yes
So you just have to make sure your non BMO Master card is linked to your Airmiles Card.
Then spend 30$ at Dollarama ,,,,, you will get 10 base Airmiles for this.
Then because it the 30X weekend you will get 10 x 30 = 300 Airmiles for your shop.

For the 30X the max you can earn this weekend is 500 per collector card


I bought 2 $15 McDonalds cards on mine (RBC Mastercard).

I would say to do it....no idea if it would work but you have nothing to lose as long as the gift cards are on things you would be using anyway. If I decide to go out today I think I will give it a go....it's been ages since we went to McD's but twice in the last week I thought about picking some up for dinner and I go to Timmies a few times a week. I could get those. I also don't mind buying Disney cards.

Ok.gang, if you had the choice which resort would you prefer? Beach Club or Boardwalk? The pool won't be a factor since hubby's feet won't allow him to go without shoes so don't use that in your equation!

Haven't stayed at either however I have looked at them both...closely. I like the Beach Club and that's only because of the theming.

I stayed at the Beach Club Resort for an evening last Spring and thought it was ok..... I don't swim due to chemical allergies ,,, so Pool was of no interest to me. I really thought I'd be wow but was not.(They were doing renovations when I stayed).
EPCOT is 0.3 miles away from the Boardwalk Resort, and 0.2 miles from Beach Club.

if DVC we prefer BWV. Close to both parks, like the theming better, right on boardwalk. But both are nice. With BC dvc is in the back, yes closer to epcot, but further from dhs.

Should have known we would arrive at this decision before we started the whole process and I made, modified, cancelled several different reservations and then FINALLY settled on spending the entire stay at (if you've paid any attention this won't surprise you!) POFQ. We're happy there, we love the vibe, the resort feels like home to us and we know they can work with my wonky dietary needs.

Now I will wait anxiously to see if all of the gift cards I bought at Dollarama triggered the full 500 miles to the main card. I used the 2nd card at Metro today, cleaned up on targeted offers and flyer items and earned 9 base miles for 270 miles. The surveys just didn't work for me, I've been screened out of them before I even get far enough to earn anything, that only netted me the sign-up bonus of 15 and 1 measly mile for the first survey. I'm going to see if I can put together an order for Staples to finish up this weekend.

So I am not sure what I will earn as I can't figure out bonus miles, but on my card I did the Dollarama shop and a $200 dollar shop at Walmart which is 2x the points right now so figure I will earn the max value.
On my Mom's card I did a $160 shop at The Source which is also 2x the points right now so I earned her some points as well.
We made the decision to go to the cottage this weekend so couldn't do Shell or Metro for points but we had a great time at the cottage as a family so that is all that matters.

Boardwalk, for us, no question, but there is no one answer for everyone. We've stayed at Beach Club twice (resort and dvc) and Boardwalk 7 times (dvc).

We love the vibe at both but find Boardwalk a little more relaxing (stormalong bay attracts higher than average families with kids imho) and personally think the Beach club pool is a bit of an eye sore. Boardwalk has the better location between two parks as both parks are a short walk. Beach Club is a long walk in the heat or rain to HS (boats could stop if lightning near but not at the frequency that the skyliner shuts down) but a couple minutes faster to EPCOT. We also enjoy relaxing around Boardwalk pools (there are three, the smallest one is always empty) or the Boardwalk (there are tables by the water). Views from rooms typically are much better at Boardwalk, Beach has some rooms with no balconies or juliet's, not sure if that is the case at Boardwalk Inn.

Reasons you might pick Beach Club:
- most of your time at EPCOT or not going to HS at all, Beach Club is a couple of minutes closer walk
- want to use the skyliner, also a couple of minutes closer
- want to sit on the beach (Boardwalk doesn't have one)

Likely the best reason to choose between the two is that you'd like the VIBE better.

Following up on my Dollarama gift card question.

How long does it typically take for the AM to be posted? I bought two $50 Disney GC yesterday at Dollarama which should get me enough AM to get a few Starbucks GC, just wondering how long before they show up in my account typically?
