whoo hoot...i have enough airmiles to redeem for 2 adult 5 day disneyland passes and 3 child 5 day disneyland passes! thats a $1000 savings for our trip.

heres the problem...the tickets at airmiles have a date on them from jan 1, 2010 to jan 3, 2011...

why? what if (gosh forbid) our trip gets cancelled? we are going dec 5 to 12th. and we go go next year....

do they really expire jan 3, 2011???

Congrats on having enough Airmiles for your tickets.

Disneyland and SeaWorld tickets tend to have expiry dates on them so you do have to be careful. I would order your tickets once your trip is confirmed. They arrive fairly quickly from Airmiles.

Disneyworld and Universal tickets do not have expiry dates on them so you can order them at any time and save them for the future. I actually have 2 Airmiles 7 day child tickets for my son for Disneyworld for our visits in 2011 and 2012. It is so nice to know that I just have to save up for our spending money and flights for those 2 trips.:banana:

Just want to confirm the Disneyland ones to have expiry dates. I just got mine from airmiles a few weeks back (I leave on sunday! :cool1:) And it clearly lists Jan 12 2012 as the expiry. But I will say that's a lot longer then then Jan 2011 the airmiles site advertised.

WOW... really? I am nervous about ordering mine that I need for April 2011, but dont want to find that the points go up after the new year. If in fact, the tickets that are being shipped now, have 14 months life left on them, it may be worth it for me to just order them now.

Anyone else have passes that have 2012 as an expiry?

ordered all the passes on monday and rec'd them on friday!

expirt dates are on them.

kids expire 01.16.2011 but first visit must be before 01.03.2011
adults expire 01/13/2012 but first visit must be before 12.31.2011

yippee!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the info! I was going to call Disneyland and ask if I arrive by Jan. 2 if I can still use a 3 day park hopper airmiles ticket on Jan. 3 and 4...now I don't have to call! I can order with confidence knowing I can use it for my Jan. 2-4 trip and I will most likely receive it faster than the 3 weeks as noted on the website!

I have a new question...I currently only have enough points for a child 3 day park hopper. Would I be able to pay to upgrade that to an adult 3 day park hopper at the gates? Thanks. :)

Not sure if others know this but Airmiles is currently waiving the 15 cent/point fee to transfer points to family and friends, as of November 30 when I called anyway! I took advantage of this and asked a family member to transfer the 216 points I needed to get a 3 day adult disneyland park hopper pass. I ordered it and received it in 7 business days!!! To top it off, the ticket has a picture of Minnie giving Mickey a kiss on the cheek which is perfect because I got it as a xmas gift for my DBF. :)

Oh, I'm glad to read this! I have been debating over redeeming our Air Miles for Universal passes. I was afraid they had expiry dates on them, but it does not state so on their website.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to see if we can get my MIL's points transferred to us since she doesn't need them anymore.
