I have heard that airlines rates change depending on the day of week!! So like if your checking rates on the internet theres at least one day that has the cheapest rates hope this makes sense.

My parents are taking the whole family on a trip to Hawaii so Im in charge of checking rates!!!!

anyone have any ideas or suggestions.

there would be 20 of us ranging from 6months to 78!!!!

thanks for any suggestions

every little bit helps when planning a trip with so many people!!!

I read an article that said that most airlines change their rates on Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning. I have also read that recently Southwest has been changing theirs on Tuesdays, and they seem to be the leader when it comes to price changes, they lower and the others follow.

airfare has been  crazy lately, i have been searching airfare for easter and it was so cheap 2 weeks ago and since then has doubled. when are you going? i recall hawaii being on sale this past jan./feb. for easter . we are still on the waitlist for maui through dvc in the mean time i booked easter at vero/bvc, hoping that maui comes through.princess:

we,re sort of planning on the end of FEb since 2 of my nephews have a 4 day break (counting the weekend) even though we,re
going 5 nites my sister doesn't want to take the kids out to long since one is sort of struggling. so thats why we're thinking end of Feb.

wdstar, where in maui are you going to be staying?

we we're at the Embassy suites a few years ago and everyone just loved it> it had something for everyone right at the hotel.

we're planning on staying there again.

well thanks for the tips. I,ll for sure be checking alot and if I find decent air off we all go!!!!

::MinnieMo AA is having a sale right now for traveling during the month of dec. -middle of jan.

the waitlist thru dvc is for marriotts maui ocean club:sunny:

i have tried making direct exchanges with people that have hawaii timeshares for my dvc, and so far it basically didnt work out, 1 person wanted a two bedroom for two weeks at wdw, and i only needed 2- 1bedroom for a week. the other was very nice, she just couldnt get our dates at an oceanfront resort. now we are back to seeing if the waitlist comes through, but if not we have ressies at vero/bcv.

i would keep checking airfare, once it gets closer to the holidays everyone will start thinking about springbreak/ feb/march/april

we usual go the end of feb/march, because our kids have that four day including the weekend, but dh doesnt want dd to miss an extra 4 days.
sending pixie dust your way for an airline sale soon:wizard:

thanks for the pixie dust. With planning a trip so far and for so many people is pretty hard.

So far I found a package deal thats 5 nites at Embassy Suites, air from Milwaukee and a car for 5 days for $1339 per adult the kids just pay air which is $740

my mom didn't think that sounded bad but I'd to see it less:D

we're going to make the ressies next week since we have the nieces and nephews schedules.

It looks like we're going Feb 25

so thanks again for the suggestions and pixie dust I really need it

I'll check into group rates.

I never thought of my family being a group
