Airlines propose infant fees

I would love an airline that came into existence that charged a flat rate where I can stretch my legs out and allowed me 2 bags and a carryon as part of the rate. It's just ridiculous nowadays.
Frontier actually does this (I flew with them for the first time this week). They have an economy fare that doesn't include anything. Then they have tiers where you pay a little more for included benefits. That highest tier includes "stretch" seating, priority boarding, free TV, 2 checked bags, etc. If it's a long flight or you're sure you're going to check 2 bags, this is usually a good deal.

I feel like we have so few options out of Minneapolis - Delta practically has a monopoly here. I wish we had more competition. We recently got Southwest, but unfortunately their fares are not very good for the routes we usually travel.

The fact that the airlines don't pay taxes on these ridiculous fees is insane!

Here's whats coming next:

Air: Free
Air Conditioning/heat: $1/minute/seat
Dirty blanket: $2
Clean blanket: $10
Toilet paper: .50/sheet or family special 10 sheets for $9.50
Meet and greet with stewardess: $20 (Please note this includes one contact only and is limited to passenger saying "Hello" and stewardess saying "Hello". Additional charges apply for any other word exchanges or requests)

Its getting ridiculous. Just charge me a little more for my ticket. Not a lot more, just a little.
