I am watching air fares from Boston to Orlando for late August, and they have been slowly creeping up. It seems that there is always a 'summer sale' announced, but I don't know when that usually happens.
Anyone recall when these lower fares are released? Thanks!

It's kind of a gamble to wait for lower fares. They may or may not happen. Many airlines have taken a hit with the economy. Plus, the recent volcano issues in Iceland have affected a lot of legacy carriers. If you see a flight that you can afford--book it. It's entirely possible the rate could be higher next week.

SWA's prices are pretty good out of BOS right now. They're not nonstops, but they're the cheapest I've seen since the fares were released and definitely a lot cheaper than anything else I found. JetBlue also isn't too bad though not as cheap. Of course the fussier you are about your flight times, the more you'll have to pay. The most popular times are definitely much higher.
