we have some bmi points from a privious trip, have looked at there CC
as we have 20,000 points each, and we will aply for a card each thus getting an extra 24,000 each
So for next year we will have at least a combined total of 88,000
My question is when booking can you combine each outhers points to get flights?plus do you have to pay the taxes

I thought the credit card offer was 20,000 miles for £250 spend.

Anyway as you'll have 44,000 miles, you are so close to the 45,000 required for a flight to Orlando (zone 3) that I'm sure you can get the extra and get a flight for each of you.

You will have to pay taxes, fees and surcharges about £185 per person just now.
You cannot combine miles in order to qualify for a "free" flight.

The other option would be to use 25K miles + £140 towards a flight.
I think taxes etc are on top of this but not 100% sure.

For info if you had 50,000 miles each, you could use the miles for a virgin flight if direct is more appealing.

Can you use a combinations of virgin points and BMI points to book a flight...say 20,000 BMI and 30,000 virgin for a free flight to Orlando?

Not a return trip no, but if you had enough miles you could book the each leg separately with BMI and virgin using half the miles for a round trip.
As you are only paying taxes, surcharges etc, it costs the same.

Currently you would need 22,500 BMI miles and 20,000 Virgin miles for this.
