Airline restrictions???

Hi guys.....I don't know where to ask this so I guess I'll just ask here.

Would I be able to bring back scrapbooking scissors on am airplane??? Or is it prohibited.

Could I put it in the luggage that goes underneath the plane??? I searched everywhere on Delta's website and found nothing.

i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but i think that round tip scissors are the only thing allowed in your carry on but in your checked luggage they would be okay.

If you are talking about the scrapbook sissors that Disney sells at the Marketplace, I was able to bring them back with me last month on Song. I had them in my carry-on.

As long as they are round or blunt-tipped, you SHOULD* be able to bring them on board the plane as part of your carryon luggage. You are certainly allowed to put them in your checked baggage.

* - the Transportation Security Administration has been conducting an on-going pointy-object search. Most TSA agents are now aware of the policy that allows blunt/rounded scissors, however, there are a few that will still insist that all scissors are verboten.

I brought a pair back with me on my last trip - it was looked over quite a bit. I think if it had not still been in the packaging they would have taken it. If you have the choice, I would stick it in your checked luggage---less of a hassle all the way around.

A lot of items that are banned from carry-on are allowed in checked bags. TSA runs security, not the airline so the best thing to do is check the TSA web-site. I think it's www.tsa.gov

As for sissors, the above posters are correct, if they are round-tiped you're fine, pointy must be put in checked bags.
