airline policy on when fare drops?

i am looking at a trip on usair for august, but was wondering if anyone knows what they do if the fare happens to drop. do they give a refund on the difference?

anyone know?

Every airline is different so you'll have to check with yours.

I think Southwest is one of the only ones that actually puts the money back on your CC.

Jetblue gives you a credit good for one year that you can use on another trip.

I believe Delta does the same.

You must call to request the credit...the 3 above airlines do NOT charge any fees for asking for a credit for the price drop.

It should be noted that the airlines won't just "give" you a credit if the price drops; it's up to the passenger to track fares and request the credit. Also, some airlines consider ANY transaction on a ticket to be a change, and may impose their published change fee even if the itinerary stays the same. Or they may not.

Yet another ME question:

It looks like the cheapest flight I'll be able to get on my check-in day lands in MCO at 9:00 am--long before we're allowed to check in to our hotel. We were hoping to use ME and just head to the parks while we waited for our room to become available...is that possible, or do I need to look for a later flight?

Heavens, no! You can check in whenever you arrive (or 6 AM, whichever comes later ) and, there's a chance your room will be ready! If not, just leave your carry on luggage with Bell/Luggage services and head off to the parks! You'll have been given a card with a phone number to call and a time to check; call the number and you'll be notified of your room number. And when you get back to the resort, proceed directly there if you want - your keys will have been programmed to open that door!
