Airline Fees Will Rise July 21

Of course! I think that is the day SW opens their schedule. LOL

July 28 according to their Travel Tools page. On another thread I posed the question, if one books a Southwest flight before July 21 but after that date they "change" their flight due to a price/points drop, will they get hit with the higher security fee? I assume the answer is yes since the "change flight" option is essentially a cancellation and rebooking. When repricing a points flight you can see that the security fee is credited then debited again for the "changed" flight. So the cost difference of $3.10 per hop may need to be factored in when considering whether it's worth repricing a flight where the points/cash price has dropped by a small amount.
