Airline Discount Code

My DH and I decided to make a last minute trip to Florida in April as a favor to my dad. We're going to fly down and drive his car home for him. He can't do the distance and the car carriers are hovering around $800. Thought it would be cheaper to drive his car back for him, but with airfares and gas prices it's about the same price.

Hopefully someone has a coupon code or coupon that they're not using. I can't find anything online that's not tied to a vacation. Any help would be appreciated.

Its very rare to find any kind of discount code for any airlines. Ive been checking 7 to 10 times a day for flights from Memphis to Orlando. I check different times and rates have been all over the place. This morning with I finally scored MEM to MCO direct flights thru Delta for $280. Airlines in my area have been cutting back on flights and even with our vacation at the end of May many flights are full. To me this means less discount air fare. So just keep checking and hopefully something will pop up thats affordable. Good Luck :)

If you have an Entertainment book they have codes for airlines. I think most books are 50% off now

What does that even mean?
It means pretty much what the PP said. Entertainment books have airline codes in them. The PP believes that the books can now be purchased for half off of the cover price. I don't think the post was confusing in the least.

The post wasn't confusing. But if the OP has never heard of an Entertainment book, then confusion could be from that. No reason to get nasty about it.

The Entertainment book is a coupon book you can by - contents vary by city. Comes with a membership card that you register at entertainment.com , and can get codes for things like 10% off airfare ,for example. I have seen the books marked down from 39.99 to 19.99 recently. Hope this helps explain things.

Jetblue was having a sale earlier this week. I got airfare for the first week of April from NY to West Palm Beach for $105 one way. I don't know if they service your airports, but it never hurts to look.

Thanks for the responses. I do have an Entertainment book. I think there were 2 airlines in it that service my area. They did not work. Also Jet Blue is too expensive for the day were traveling. Unfortunately we need to leave on the weekend. So that makes it more expensive.

It was worth a shot. Thanks! I miss the days when you could give your Southwest credits to someone else.

The PP didn't ask what an Entertainment book was. I could understand if he had never heard of one, but that's not what they asked. If he had, then I would have told him where to find them.

When someone says "What does that even mean?", they're not asking for specifics. They're being snarky.

I didn't know what an entertainment book was... Sorry to have offended you. We don't have them in my region.

Maybe just one of you could fly down instead of you and your DH, though that might mean more hotel costs as one person can only drive so much in a day.

Patience has paid off!!! Southwest just reduced tickets to $100 each way on April 12th, PVD to PBI. Non-stop too!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
