Airline Check-In

Ok, so who do I tip with this then? And when do I tip, when I pick my bags back up?
We tip upon drop off and pick up, since it is often different bell services employees. As with all tipping threads on this board, tipping practices and options vary considerably.

Well I need some good advice on this one then because unlike tipping with dining, I have no idea what to tip with this service.

There’s actually a whole (very funny) Seinfeld episode about this—about how different people’s tipping practices are for luggage handlers!

Personally, we are a family of 5 and usually have 4-5 bags of various sizes. We tip $10 so roughly $2 per bag.

Me and my daughter will just have two carry on bags. Will we just leave those with the front desk on our departure day before leaving for Hollywood Stuidos that morning? And then just run by and pick them up before getting on ME?

As PP mentioned, you will take your bags to Bell Services which will be just outside the main entrance of your resort. Its customary to tip anyone who handles your bags, so a good practice would be to tip both the person who stores them for you and the one who retrieves them for you. Generally, $1-$2 per bag per person is a good benchmark, but its discretionary. Give yourself about 10-15 minutes before you're required to show up at your DME stop to allow time to retrieve the bags in case there's a wait.

How can you print your boarding pass without airline check in?
There isn't an option to print at the resort, unless your resort has a business center. If you need to print your boarding pass, it can be done at your airline's kiosk or counter at the airport. If you have a smart phone, most airlines offer a mobile boarding pass.

In the past, the resort would sometimes include your boarding passes with your DME pick up time the day before departure. It seemed to be hit or miss and was dependent on your flight time. I haven't heard of them doing this since re-opening, but perhaps they may resume it as a courtesy at some point.
