We celebrated Festivus yesterday (as it should be).
I guess you are an orthodox Festivusian.

I have a grievance! I have H1N1 and I have been quarantined for Christmas.

My DH and kiddos are at my in-laws this evening enjoying Christmas Eve with the extended family and I am home by myself watching cheesy made for TV movies on Lifetime.

I insisted that they go over to exchange gifts and let all the grandkids have a bit of fun, but I just spoke with DH and my DSIL decided no one was opening gifts b/c not everyone was together.

Um, I have the fricking swine flu and I am not going to get to go anywhere soon…let the kids open their d@mn presents without me! lol

Actually, if you trace Festivus to its origins (aka search Wikipedia) you will find that Festivus can be celebrated anytime between December to May as a response to family tension.

Of course, when you have a family like mine, it would be better to describe it as December through May, we have a lot of grievances!
