Airfares going the wrong way!

I just paid $297 per person round trip out of Boston yesterday I paid half that to fly roundtrip all the way to California less than six months ago!

That's I think what's happening, too. I know elsewhere the best fares are available when the dates first open up...I see this especially from people who live on the east coast.

Now before, I haven't found that to be true. I'd watch the fares as soon as they came out and I usually found what I would consider a good deal anywhere from 6-9 months out.

Maybe flights out of MSP are conforming to the rest of the country to where the best fares are only available 334 days out.

Gosh I hope that isn't what is happening. I have had such good luck getting fares about 2-3 months ahead of time the past few years. I'm at $277 now and I'm tempted to just book it and be done with it.

I feel your pain. I keep wondering as I check the fares each day if I am going to book that day or not. It certainly is a gamble now. At this time I am looking at 474.20 rt out of MSP for my dd and I for late Nov/early Dec. Really the only thing holding me back is the DVC owner I am renting points from is dragging her feet about booking my room. Being as I have already paid up there I am getting a bit worried. It is a friend of the family but still.
