I should've booked a few weeks ago! The airfare prices now have doubled, ugh. I am hoping you guys can help me. When are the best times to price airfare? Are there any sales coming up? I need airfare for myself and DS3. We just relocated to Florida two months ago and want to surprise everyone back home with a weeklong visit. My days are entirely flexible, sometime hopefully within the next 3 or 4 weeks. Airfare from Orlando or Daytona Beach to Akron Canton. Thank you so much for your help!!!! Money is really tight after moving and it would be really helpful to find some cheap airfare!!! TIA!!!

I'll tell you something...if I use frequent flier miles...leaving Orlando I can usually only get the lowest point tickets mid-week. Like Tuesday or Wednesday. Which means those are their slower days. Try to leave one of those days and see how it works for you.

3 weeks is probably the minimum amount of time ahead that you want to book the flights. What length of stay do you want? Staying longer usually results in a cheaper fare than a 2 or 3 day trip. If you can be flexible on what times your flights are you will also get the best results.
You said 3-4 weeks, so I input Aug 13-18th and got $190 on AirTran as cheapest option.

If you are totally flexible, check out Airtran. They have flights one way for $74 on some days, you will have to play with the days to find them but they are definately there particularly midweek- then add on the $25 vouchers that they have right now and you would get a pretty good deal. There is a thread on here explaining the vouchers. You can get 4 of them and book your flights as one-ways essentially getting $50 off each of your flights.
