Airfare to Orlando from Chicago rt

Does anyone know what a good price is? The cheapest I have found right now is 270.00 on 3/30/03 to 4/4/03 on ATA. Does it get any lower?

We usually fly out of Indy for about 130 round trip. (at the lowest) Chicago is new territory for us.

we got $150 rt...out of midway, ata, but December dates and ordered a quite a while ago.

You do not have a Saturday stay, that usually raises the fare. Plus that is still pretty far out, rates should adjust lower as the weeks go on. I checked on www.orbitz.com plus www.iflyswa.com and that is where you are right now. A Sat. will get you to $233 on ATA.

I paid $210 last Easter break r/t out of Midway to MCO on ATA.

Just got $125 RT (yes, that's $125) from MDW to MCO on ATA by moving our return date to Monday. Now we'll be there from 1/1 thru 1/6.

Sometimes you can get better prices on ATA by either leaving or returning at odd times. Once we noticed we could save $15 by flying back on the very early (around 7:30) flight. Since there were only two of us we decided the extra sleep was worth the $15.

Thanks for the replies! Sounds like I could wait and get a better price. Just wondering since my trip is around Spring Break time, if prices will go down. Bidmouse, how long in advance did you book your 210.00 flight last yr? Thanks for the tip Figment on the ATA site!

I booked our flight in July of 2001 for our March/April 2002 trip. I had been checking prices and one Sunday morning the price had gone down to 210 and I grabbed it. I never saw it go lower than that and I checked at least weekly until we left.

If you won't have a Saturday stay, definitely check Spirit. They don't "require" a Saturday stay to have a lower price. Not sure what other airlines are like that.

Cheapest I've gotten is $166 on Spirit (same flight as KimRaye's). I paid $176 last December on Spirit.
