I get to go to WDW in Oct! I'm so excited about this, but this is the first time flying from the west coast. I'm not sure what a good airfare from this area is. Can anyone help me out?

Delta just started a sale on Tuesday and we got our tickets for late September for 211.50 per person (including taxes) from Spokane, Wa. This is about the best price we have ever paid. Paid 384.00 in January of this year. Hope this helps a little!

Were going in Nov. and went in Nov last year. Rates were pretty high last year until Southwest released their fares for Nov and then there was a drop in almost everyones fares. I have been watching the nonstop Alaska flight out of Seattle. The lowest I have seen it was 202 for earlier this summer. Right now its around $238 and that fare in good until Nov 19. If that was good for my dates I would book it right now! In the past I have paid $225 (last Nov) and $175 (before 9/11). If I see a flight out of Seattle between $200 - $235 I would jump on it! Good Luck!

thanks for the tips everyone! Being new out here and learning the ropes for WDW are someething else! I appreciate all your help!

We flew from PDX to Orlando in March of this year. I booked our flights thru SWA last year I think in September. The online rate I got was........................$82 each way! For four of us to fly round trip it was $762 grand total. We had one stop in Kansas City, but we didn't even have to change planes. I haven't seen it that low since, but keep your fingers crossed. They often have $99 each way fares from PDX to Orlando. Good luck!

Hi

Alaska has a nonstop to Orlando now! We got some excellent rates when I booked last month. Try their website.

Has anyone been on this new route of Alaska's? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

1) I can't seem to find that 238 rate on alaska....any tips???

2) I have booked as low as 150 and as high as 362 out of SEA. It is usually the lowest about 3 months out. I would wait until southwest released it's dates before booking anything. I am betting they will go down once southwest realeases their dates.

This is how I found the 238 rate. Go to Expedia and click on Flights. On the main flights page there is a tab on the left side that says Fare Calendar. Once that opens enter your information and it will pull up all the discounted flights to Orlando. If you click on check availability it will show you what’s available. Unfortunately there isn’t much left on the 238 rate. Using that process I found a $268 flight on expedia and plugged the dates into Alaska’s web site and the flight was $230. Expedia will also tell you when the rate is good thru. Good Luck! I’m waiting for Novembers rate of 391.50 to drop!!!!!

We are new DVC members from the Portland area as well. Our first trip home is in October and I just landed GREAT airfare deals through Delta. The prices went up the next day, however we just purchased them on Thursday of this past week. We are actually flying into Tampa and hooked Round trip tickets for $213.00. If we had flown into MCO the same dates the tickets would have been $351.50. I would keep checking the prices daily and hopefully you might get lucky. Our dates are 10/15 through 10/24 sometimes you have to play with the dates to get a better deal.:Pinkbounc

I too am watching for sw prices. I'm getting anxious because I have almost everything else for our Oct/Nov trip booked. Does anyone know when sw will extend the dates?

My parents are going with us in October. They changed their dates and are flying Southwest 10/15 and leaving MCO 10/23. Their prices from PDX were $257.50. Southwest will give travel vouchers if your airfare (it has to be exactly the same) decreases in price. Mom figured that was a pretty good price and she will just keep watching to see if they go down and if they do she will get travel vouchers for the difference and use them on their next trip.
