I'm looking for airfare from DFW to MCO in November and the best I can find is about $240 pp. That means it will cost the 4 of us almost $1000 just to get there!!! We usually drive, but we really want to fly instead. The drive is just so boring! Anyone have any ideas if we are likely to get it any cheaper than that as it gets closer? I'm just having a hard time justifying that kind of money!

Thanks,
Kristy

We are also patiently waiting for airline tickets to drop from OKC to MCO, I would also settle for Dallas. Last week they dropped to around $160-170 for a little while, I snoozed. I just keep checking all day long. One day last year I found cheap tickets out of OKC and Dallas for about 30 minutes, then they climbed back up. That time I was fortunate, I got mine!! My suggestion, be ready.

I'm driving this year because of the high airfares from Dallas to Orlando. Last year, I found rountrip from DFW to MCO on Delta for $147.00 per person in late July, they were up for only like 3 hours one Friday morning and I jumped on them fast. Personally, I don't think they will get any lower, I've been looking everyday for the last several months.

Count me waiting impatiently as well!
Definitely not appearing to have the days of Delta RT NS for $114.50- pre-9/11 as well.

I've been watching air out of Tulsa, (hi, OKC) and it is running almost $300.00 rt. Another alternative to consider is flying into Tampa. We did it one year and it is absolutely no big deal if you planned on renting a car anyway. Between the MCO airport to WDW and Tampa airport to WDW, you are only looking at about a 30 minute difference. Good luck to all of us.

Yea, I look at Tampa also and nowadays it's running the same or a little more than Orlando, poo!!!!

If only we in Texas could appeal the Wright Amendment and be able to fly Southwest to Orlando, nonstop, that would be GREAT!!!!

Well, it looks like it won't matter for me now anyway. DH caught some nasty virus that has kept him out of work since Friday and used up too many vacation days. I hope you all have good luck finding a good price and thanks for the feedback!

Airline tickets from OKC to MCO went on sale this morning. I got them at $210 per person, $178 plus tax and fees. That's as good as I've seen in a while so I jumped on it.

Delta, rountrip from Houston (IAH) to Orlando for $123.00/per person saw it this morning on Travelocity so I looked at the flights, they are all connecting flights either from Dallas or Atlanta. Same flight from Dallas to MCO is twice as much as flying from Houston (BOO!!!!). Personally, I was thinking about driving to Houston but after looking at the flight and seeing it connects in Dallas (what a waste of time) but it's only $123.00 round trip as compared to $248.00 from Dallas.

Why can't we get a decent priced flight from DFW to MCO???????????

Just thought I'd post this in case someone can use these flights, wish I could, really cheap.

i saw the rt trip flight on delta from hou to mco. great rate, but we haven't decided if we want to drive to wdw in nov or drive. swa is more expensive,204.00 rt from hou to mco. what shall we do?????
