Airfare from Boston to Orlando, July 4th weekend...

We will be flying on July 3rd, 2004, Boston to MCO....and back a week later. Does anyone remember what they paid to travel during this same time frame? Will the rates be higher because it's a holiday weekend? I will be ready to book the airfare starting in September, if/when I see a good price. Can someone tell me what a good price would be for July 4th weekend?? Usually a decent airfare from Boston to Orlando is about $200. per person, round trip.

Your roundtrip fare will likely be higher due to the holiday weekend. Your fare coming back will probably be normal, but on the way down (July 3) you're likely to pay more. I can't give you a good price or estimate as I don't live there, but generally fares are higher on holiday weekends, and July 3rd will likely be a blackout date for fare sales. Depends on the airline too.

We flew roundtrip July 3rd/7th, 2002 on Delta Express out of Logan. We booked airfare on the interent as soon as it was available(like 11 months in advance). We paid 157.00 each. I dont know how we were so lucky to get such a low rate, but we did.

Wow, that was a good rate! Delta Express spoiled a lot of people up in the Northeast by giving a lot of their seats away. More often than not, that won't be the case with Song, which may be difficult for people to get used to.

We are going over Christmas this year, flying on Song and are paying 257.00 each...and thats pretty low compared to what the same flights are going for now. They went up so fast!
