Airfare for Easter 2008

Usually don't travel over Easter which happens to be our daughter's Spring Break this year and have a question.
Will you see any great discounts with airlines for airfare over this time (3/20 to 3/28)? We are flying out of Chicago to MCO. Have found some flight times that would work well for us and these dates with Air Tran for $308 RT per person. Does this sound reasonable or do I keep thinking they will come down or wait for Southwest to come out with their fares (I think that would be around Nov. 8)?

I am a nervous wreck over this thinking we won't get flights down there then with it being such a busy time period. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I know Southwest's fares are usually really good out of Midway but you really need to keep on top of it so you can grab them right away when they release them. I basically stalked the Airtran site until my dates were released but it paid off. I got tix out of Milwaukee for 3/19-3/29 for $240.00 per person. I just checked and the same dates are now $372.00 (2 days later) Good luck whatever you decide!

we fly out of chicago too, and i have to say when SW opened up the Dec/Jan
flights, i should have booked for $200 plus tax. now i have been watching SW and the flights keep going up. I just booked united for $198 plus tax. I would say its about the same if i would have booked SW on the first day of dates released for Dec/Jan. Except with united i have my seats and the flights are non stop and the times couldnt have been any better. 6am arrive mco 930am,
coming home 4pm arriving ord 6pm.

I am too now looking for easter time and when SW released their dates thru march, again i didnt buy.
Its a hit or miss, but you have to stay on top and look everyday.
